Hey! I am Juliana, the founder of Sync or Swim. My hobbies include travel, reading, and taking on way too much at once (*cough* law-school and a brand new business *cough*).

 

I started designing our flagship line in the depths of Covid while locked up at home. I even researched ethical and sustainable manufacturing but I never intended for my messy sketches to become reality. Almost two years after the initial sketches, I came home from work after midnight on a Friday night and told my partner that I was launching a swimwear line. The following Thursday we went into production on the first set of samples with the exact manufacturer I had chosen two years prior. I have a history in swimwear reviewing and worked with many brands between 2019 and 2021. It is with this experience that I learned what I, and other women, like and dislike in swimwear. Furthermore, I was constantly disappointed in the "matching" swim that I ordered for my partner and me, and wanted to see just how hard it is to make things match – spoiler: very hard, but I did it! With that, Sync or Swim was born.

 

I will be 100% candid when I say that this is not a forever thing. Sync or Swim is a passion project that I wanted to see through, and I am only doing this as long as it is a creative outlet for me. I am the only person behind this brand – fulfilling orders, answering emails, creating content, etc. So, be patient with me!
